About Max
MaxFindsCars is a one person business and, you guessed it, the one person is me (Max).
Here are some pictures of me so we can get to know each other.

This is me, getting ready to haul/tow all of my belongings 1000 miles with no prior towing experience.

This is also me a couple Christmas’s ago. This photo was entirely staged, My house is 50 feet from this picture, in reality we picked up the tree in my wife’s Chevy Cruze.

And just so you know I am not one-dimensional, here is a humanizing photo of me with my cat, Shanti.
Now that we are acquainted… my goal with this site is to help people find their dream car, whatever it may be. Even thrashed Nissan Altima’s are welcome here.
But WHY do I care to help folks find their dream car? Let me back up a bit.
I’ve been obsessed with cars as long as I can remember. As a kid, I would memorize 0-60 times and car specs from Motortrend magazines. In high school I spent my first 3 pizza delivery paychecks on my Mazda Protege 5’s sound system, and I begged my aunt to let me drive her Mustang to prom (she did and it ruled).
In college, I was lucky enough to find a summer internship building software for BMW, and after graduation that turned into my first post-grad gig.

here’s me in front of the BMW Zentrum in Greer, SC in 2017. I am not sure why I made this face.
When life eventually took me to different pastures, my car itches were left unscratched. I bought a 2001 BMW M5 on the internet, sight unseen. I subsequently drove up and down the east coast a handful of times and daily’ed it until I accidentally blew it up & sold it to my friend Kyle. I really loved that car. It was the first 'irresponsible life goal’ I achieved.

I loved this car so much - E39 M5’s are not overhyped, I promise.
After that, I felt it made sense to get something practical. An every day car. So… I bought a mouse infested, engine swapped 1982 Porsche 911 as my one and only vehicle (pictured a couple times at the top of this post). One day later I was being towed. For 2 years I’ve put my heart and soul and most of my wallet into that car. And… now it’s reliable. So, I once again had an automotive itch to scratch.
That’s how MaxFindsCars started. First as a newsletter, now as the easiest way to find your dream car. As I’m writing this, I’m maybe a week away from releasing it to the public. It’s going to start pretty simple, but soon I think we are going to have something really special on our hands.
Stay tuned, Max
